In her 17+ years, my Nala has loved many people and their dogs, taught countless puppies how to play in the park, dug some really deep holes, ran fast with her playmates in the park, had some great hikes and wonderful adventures at the beach and in the mountains, been a loving and steadfast sister to Kiki and her departed sister Nikki, and has been the best and sweetest friend to me.
She had a long and full life. From the moment she came to live with us, her smiles and her impish ways made us laugh and love her all the more. Everyday was another day to spread her love around to everyone and every pup she saw---except for men with beards and hats! We had so much fun every single day. She was good girl that gave me not one lick of trouble and caused any heartache, until now.
Her passing yesterday in the house was peaceful and she had spent the few days before with friends visiting her, some spectacular treats and meals, and much love and cuddling.
I will miss her terribly, the house does feel empty now without her. In time, Kiki and I will be fine.
We will always give heartfelt thanks that we had so much time and joy with our very best friend Nala.
Here are some pictures of her life.
