Summer Again?

Kiki here! It is so HOT here in the city today. After many days of cool breezes and even an evening of frost, we are back to 80 degrees! There is only one thing to do when it is too hot to hike...dig new holes and lay in them!

"Nothing better than some freshly turned over dirt
and a stick to gnaw on!"

"And my hole is now super deep!
Mom can barely find me down here!"

Booooooooo!

"Look who is hanging on our fence
just in time for Halloween! Scary Kitty! I'm terrified!"

"Don't be scared Kiki, just get me some food right now
and no one will get hurt."

Travels with the cat.

"What's up, Sasha?
Why are you out back?"

"Kiki, if I'm in the cage, it can only mean one thing.
We are going on a car ride."

"We are at the vet! Oh no, this does not bode well
for either of us Kiki."

"You're not kidding Sasha, I still haven't lost
those pesky 5 lbs I was supposed to!"

Our trip to the vet was as horrifying as we suspected it would be. Both of us need to lose weight! At least now I get green beans in my dinner...the cat just gets less dinner! Haha!

New Friends!

Kiki here! On our walks around the city, we meet not just kitties but lots of dog friends hanging around. Here are some of our new buddies!

"Hi Beagle, if you want to stroll with us,
you are gonna have to break out!"

"You are super-cute little Corgi! You should join us after
your mom finishes getting her hair done!"

"And now it's my turn to watch folks stroll by,
I'm sure they would like me to join them!

The Bridge!

Kiki here! Here in our neighborhood park, the city is constructing a bridge over the stinky stream so that us pups can go for super long walks without having to cross busy streets. (And yes, maybe some bipeds will use it too!) Anyway, progress has been very slow.

"These beams are doing me and the other pups
no good in this field, grrrrrrr."

"They need to go over there!
That's where the bridge is going to be!"

"Hey Nala! We should help pull these logs,
after all, we are a working breed!

"Have at it Kiki, I''ll supervise.
I'm a little old to work THAT hard!"
