Husky-palooza!

I had so much fun this weekend at the annual Tails of the Tundra Husky Hike! I was adopted from them, so every year we go up to Pennsylvania so I can strut my stuff and see so many pups of my kind and to see my foster family. This picture is after the hike where some of us are cooling down. Here's a hint, look for the fluffiest butt. And check out the cool dude in the second pool!

Nala here, showing you my not-so-pretty butt. Sigh. Can't I at least have one little special gross hotspot? Nooooooo. So now I'm on antihistamines, topicals AND prednisone! All for one little chewy spot. Mom is a little worried about the pred as she has seen before what it can do to pups, making them ravenous, pee LOTS and be a touch irritable. I'll show her. It'll be like living with Barry Bonds. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

There are big storms coming that may include thunder so I must go to my hidey spot until the danger has passed. Yes, I am a wienie when it comes to changes in the weather. And yes, I put ALL those scratches in the hardwood floor. And yes, it's a good thing I'm cute Mom says.

Nala here! The puffy one gets all the attention because she’s so fluffy but I think all that fluff makes her lazy. I, on the other hand, am ready to mix it up with just about any pup that crosses my path, large or small, male or female. Here are some action shots from our last trip to the dogpark!

We are so ready.

Hello! Here in Baltimore, the weather has finally turned crisp and chilly in the early morning. And that means it is now almost our second favorite time of year! Can you guess what that is?

We are a well-oiled stalking machine.

Here's a hint, our prey is so focused on other matters that they barely notice our stealthy approach.

Squirrel crazy-time! They are so busy gathering nuts that they run into us, the street (with dire consequences) or once, up our mom's pants leg! We never get to actually catch one, alas, because we are tethered to our human. But it doesn't keep us from enjoying the chase!

Progress Report

No time to pose for a picture, I have work to do!

Here I am, hard at work on my big hole. We haven't had rain for weeks so the ground was so nice and dry and super-easy to displace! I'll be to Siberia before the snow flies!

And here is my hole! Aren't you impressed? I've dug up half the shrub and will be taking out the peony next...it never blooms anyway so who cares! Not this husky!

It's hard work, but someone's gotta do it.

I'm going to take a little break now, time to go rub my dirty nose on the sofa. Is this a great day or what?!

Cats and dogs, living together.

This is how she sleeps. Really.

This is a picture of the ridiculous kitty that lives with us. She used to be a wild alley cat but she moved in one cold winter night when mom opened the door to let Nala out, and she never left. She is VERY happy to be an indoor cat but she is not happy when we chase her. So, she spends most of her day in a very expensive basket on top of the kitchen cabinets. But at night, she sleeps in the same room as us, often on the same bed. She knows we are only playing when we chase her, we would never hurt our furry friend. We let her live with us, right? Just don't touch our cookies. Grrrrr.

WE are SO depressed that after a delightful few days of cool breezes and long walks that it is getting all hot and humid AGAIN. What are we to do in the heat with all this fluffiness? The only upside is that our mom is gonna crank the A.C. Guess we'd better go inside and claim our vents.

This is a picture of lucky Bella, who was pulled from a shelter and transported by my mom to her new foster family. When she was in the car, she was sneezing a lot, perhaps she is allergic to husky fur? Hahaha! Anyway, our house is too full of huskies for us to foster but we are happy to transport when we can! Enjoy your new life Bella!
