What a terrible day.

Bath day! At least it only happens once or twice a year, but it still is just terrible. Witness our horror and humiliation.

"I'm not even fighting it this year,
I give up."

"She's even washing my poofy tail!
How dare she!"

"I look ridiculous!
Where is all my fluffiness?"

"Oh Mom, this again?
Aren't I just too old for bathtime?"

"Sigh. When this is over,
I'm going to find something dead to roll in."

So hot!

Nala here to tell you all it is getting stinkin' hot here in the city! Since I am off leash, I often sneak away and have a little dip in the stream by our house! Ahhhhh, so chilly and refreshing!

"I'm telling, Nala! You are not supposed to go down
to that stinky water!"

"Look Mom! Nala is going to get it, right?"

(Mom here to say that little do the gals know that tomorrow is going to be the worst day of the year for them----bath day! So they are BOTH going to get it!)

All my kitties!

Hello! Kiki here to tell you that summer may be hard on us sled dogs, but at least one thing is better---finding kitties! The cats in our neighborhood are just hanging around, too hot to run away when I come to say hello....meet some of my new friends!

"Hello friend! You don't need to have flat ears with me!"

"Look Nala, this one is keeping watch on her pot of catnip!"

"Hi fat cat! You are enormous and scare me just a little bit."

Look what we found!

"Look Nala! I found a old nasty tennis ball!"

"So what Kiki, I found a PUPPY!"
