My newest friend!

You all know how much I love the kitties in my neighborhood, and my newest friend, Calico Kitty, is getting braver and braver everyday! I think she has figured out I would never hurt her!

"I see you my friend!
Don't you want a little breakfast?"

"Purrrrrrrr, that would be perfect!
I'm hungry after my night chasing vermin!"

'It's a party on my porch! But no more cat friends!
Mom thinks 2 guest cats are enough to feed!"

And just a side note from Mom, we live in and blog from Baltimore City and while the city has it's problems, it's a great place to live with wonderful neighborhoods and parks and people! And lots and lots of dog friends! We love our city!

Working so hard!

The other day, so many things happened! My mid-day dog walker cancelled, I wasn't feeling well, and because it was so hot in the city, the electric utility was going to be cycling off my air conditioning! It was going to be a terrible day for me, but my mom had to go to work---so I went too! It was good to be there, so many people admired my beauty and rubbed my tummy and of course, it being an office, it was FREEZING in there! Many ladies were running space heaters and wearing sweaters, but I loved it!

Here I am, adding cuteness to the work day!

And unlike mom, I got to nap during the work day!

A new friend!

"Hi Scary Kitty, who is your friend who is sitting
on my fence? You know you can't invite
the whole neighborhood to dine here!"

"Hello new Calico Kitty friend, I am Kiki. You look hungry,
so I guess you may eat here too.
But I will chase you from time to time if that's okay."

"Thank you Kiki!
And I will look forward to thwarting
you by climbing this fence every time you try to get me!"

The second worst day.

4th of July in the city is a bad, bad day. I am scared of fireworks and of thunder and we had an excess of both this year! My best friend Agnes was here for a few days, so at least I had company in my hiding place, under Mom's bed.

Agnes was super scared, even though her mom told us she
wasn't scared! And yes, that's my fuzzy butt behind her!

I tried to comfort her, but I was pretty terrified
myself! It went on for hours.

Finally, the 4th of July was over and we could come out
and get a good nap—and a treat—in! Thank goodness!

The worst day.

Being a husky, I keep myself pretty clean. But every summer, Mom gets out the hose, shampoo and towels to give me a BATH in the back yard. It is the worst day of the year. There are no pictures of my bath (mom was pretty occupied with shampoo and a slippery howling husky!) but she managed to get off some shots of the aftermath and my humiliation.

"Only my toy Squirrely can give me comfort
on this terrible day."
