My new sister!

Kiki here to tell you how happy I am that my new sister Rosie is doing great and settling in just fine. We have had only one disagreement, about food of course, but otherwise, I couldn't be happier to have a buddy!

Here we are walking together! She likes to be up
next to me, which is okay since she doesn't know
our walking routes yet!

She's very sleepy, after going to rescue and having all
those puppies, she needs to catch up on her Zzzzzz's in a
safe place! I even let her have one of my toys.

Look! I am even touching her!
I want to make sure she is really here.
And yes, she is doing a lot of sleeping.

And here she is, finally up from her
nap and ready to go for another big walk...
We are doing great and having such fun!

the doggie jackpot with my new family!"

to me, except when I try to get close to her food."

"There are SO many cats around here to keep track of,
two inside, two outside! It's a lot for just one pup!

"I think I'm going to like it here...the food is good, the treats
are plentiful and my new mom ain't bad!

Here's my background...I look like a pup, but I'm 4 years old! I came from a breeding/puppy mill situation in Virginia where I was a mom. The breeder was shut down and the 41 dogs, huskies and samoyeds were all taken into rescue up and down the East coast. I had 5 puppies in May, but once they were weaned I was able to be adopted---I'm tiny and need to gain a little weight to feel great again. I'm excited to be a dog, to go for walks, play with toys and have a soft and comfortable place to sleep. So far, this place is the BEST!

(And mom's internet has been out for a few
days so she couldn't see any of you either!

But no worries because now we are back
online—and I might have a BIG surprise
in the next few days! Stay tuned!

Not cool!

This past weekend, mom went to visit some friends in Pittsburgh. She had fun and one of the things she toured was an abandoned blast furnace that is now open for tours and that artists have come to make art on-site. She thought is was very cool. What was NOT cool was that she had me boarded at doggie day care for 3 whole days. It was exhausting to be expected to play all the time! I'll need to sleep for a week just to catch up on my Zzzzzzzs!
