Our cousin Opie has been staying with us for a few days. She is a good dog, but she sure gives Nala competition for slowest walker ever!

"We are walking as fast as we can!
We are not spring chickens anymore!"

"I'm trying to be patient with the old gals. But it is so
hard to go so slow—I am a husky, for goodness sake!"

This weekend, we got left alone again, as our mom traveled to Nashville to see the beauty of the total solar eclipse.

A few moments before going into totality! Darn cloud
got in the way of the sun, but the light was amazing.

Yeah, that's impressive, but really,
we are much prettier and last all day long!

Nala here, in case you were wondering, I am now wearing a bootie when I go out to protect my back foot that is dragging a little bit. It helps me walk further with less pain! Hoorah! Now that's some thing to get excited about.
