In the Pink!

Spring flowers took a long time to come around this year...here is the most lovely part of our walk in the park. It only lasts a few days so mom tried to get us to pose!

"Kiki, isn't it bewoootiful!

"Nala, I'm not sure who is prettier,
the trees or ME!

C'mon Kiki, of course I am the prettiest!

Waiting for Mom

Our mom went away for a few days this weekend, how dare she! But the lady that does Nala's acupuncture was our pet sitter, so it was all good. We had a few walks, Nala got a treatment and we all got extra treats! But it doesn't mean we weren't just a little worried...well, except for the cat!

"When do you think she is coming home Nala?"
"Don't worry Kiki, she never can bear to
be away from us for too long!

"Woohoo! The bed is all mine!

Time to get very comfortable!"

(And yes, the CAT has used the sofa as a scratching post, which makes our mom
more than a little crazy, hence the need to go away for a few days!)

Already?

It's springtime in the city, so the temperature goes up and down like crazy.
This weekend, it was already 80 degrees!
Kiki and I have different ways to deal with the heat.

"This is me on my great walk in the sunshine and warmth.
It feels so good on my old bones!"

"Sure, it's hot, but if you take a little rest and
a water break you will do just fine!"

"And this is me. spending the next few months in the
cool dark basement. Let me know when it is cold again!

Interior decorating!

Nala here! I'm an old gal and when I started to have a little trouble getting up on our hardwood floors, our mom knew what to do...bring in the rugs! Yeah, it's looking a little crazy in the living and dining room, but I love it! It makes it so easy for me---I can get right up all the time!

"Do you think there are enough rugs Nala? All the patterns
are making me crazy! Good thing us dogs are colorblind!"

Cool cat!

Our snow is gone, but we thought you might enjoy an encounter
we had during our snow!

"Hmmmm, what is this beast? A cat?
It won't look me in the eye!"

"It doesn't smell like a cat...it just kinda smells like
a lot of our friends have been by!"

"Hey Cool Cat! Want to be my friend, because
you know I love all cats, big and small!"

Better late than never!

Last week, winter came for a day and you better believe, we made the most of it! Here are some pictures of our snow day!

"Where is all the snow they predicted Nala? We need more!"
"It's coming Kiki, I'm chewing on this stick while we wait."

"See? 2 hours later, and it's a blizzard!"

"Up to my knees!"

 

 

"This day is the BEST!"

But, it is March and the weather can change like that!
Two days later and here is all that is left:

"Oh well, at least we had one GREAT snow day!"

Could it be?

We had a lovely walk yesterday, it felt like spring! You know we love winter, but spring has it's good points—fresh delicious grass to eat, bunnies to chase and longer walks! But, it is March, and they are calling for SNOW tomorrow! Can't wait!

"Snoof, Snoof!
Fresh wild grass smells so good!"

"Especially when one of our friends
has done their business there, hahaha!

"Keep up Nala! I know you are old, but we have so
many things to do, like to find out where the bunnies are!"

"Huh? How did Nala climb the hill ahead of me?
