Last swim of the season!

Last weekend, we took a long walk in the woods to our favorite swimming hole. It was super cold outside so that made the day extra perfect in a husky sort of way!

Mom can't seem to hold the

Our mom has been working from home the last few days and she likes to get to see how we spend our time when we aren't walking the neighborhood, stalking squirrels and random kitties. So she was surprised to see me all cuddly with my favorite kitty---our own! Little does she know that I am just keeping an eye---and a paw---on her so that she cannot create anymore mischief than she already has.

"Don't worry Mom, I got this."

We love walking around the college campus near our house. The squirrels are plentiful, slow and not used to our stealthy ways. Now if our mom would just let us finish the job! Alas, she loves ALL animals, including squirrels. Tasty squirrel goodness is not in our future.

Today our mom said to heck with her work, let's walk! So off we went to see the pretty fall colors and to scope out our favorite fall prey---SQUIRRELS! They are plentiful and so crazed with gathering their nuts for winter that they don't even notice us while we stalk them!

"Come out little squirrel!
We know you are there!"

"I see you and you look delicious!"

get distracted from our goal!

"Can we go home? I'm so tired my tail has unfurled!"

Mom and Me time!

Hello! Nala here to tell you about the super adventure I had this weekend with my mom and me! We went to see a friend who has a house on a cliff overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Normally dogs are not allowed but since I have MANNERS (not like some pups that live in my house) I got to go all by myself! And what fun I had...it was so beawooooootiful and stinky, in a good way! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

Today is a bad day for me. I went to the vet for my annual checkup and they made me get on the scale. Uh-oh.

Pleeeeeeeaaaase  don't say it!

Yeah, I'm up 5 POUNDS from last year and the vet said I can't use the excuse of being extra fluffy, because I am extra PUFFY and it's time for a diet. He didn't even fall for the "I'm half malamute so I should weigh more!" So I will be doing less of this:
