Too much sharing!

We are not typical huskies in that we tolerate generally cats.
But these cats we live with are trying our last nerves with their insistence
on sleeping where we sleep! It is too much!

"Sasha, I want the whole couch,
not just this stinkin' corner!"

"Scary Kitty, don't you think you are pushing it a little bit?
  I'm old and need ALL of my bed!"

The marsh!

Kiki here! For the last year, part of our park near our house has been closed while the city did some work to help the stream from flooding. They finally opened it up and boy, things have changed! Part of the park is now a marsh, with an unexpected bonus! See if you can spot it!

How pretty! We now have many ponds and I hope mom
will let me swim and wade! And what's that I see?"

Locked out!

Nala here! The other day our mom got locked out of the house when the deadbolt broke. She called a locksmith to come to get her inside but it took 2 hours for him to get here. All the while, she was on the porch, chatting with neighbors but she wasn't coming in to see us! We are dogs, so we did not understand. When she finally got indoors, this is what she found:

"I was so stressed out, that I de-stuffed my favorite toy!
I never do that!"

"I knew mom would get in soon somehow, because
she loves us too much to leave us alone for very long."

The white stuff!

Hello! Nala here! We are so happy here in the city that we got a taste of the white stuff and a preview of the winter to come! They are saying that this winter will be an El Nino winter and that means snow! I say, bring it on! These are some pictures from the morning after...

A note from Mom: Nala is doing well, still getting to the park to bark and howl at the neighbors and to visit with her dog park friends when they stroll by. She wears her harness to let me help her get up when she falters and to get up the stairs to the house. She has a very good appetite and for the most part, enjoys herself. She has good days and bad days, but still mostly good!

A celebration!

Kiki here! A couple of days ago, it was my mom's birthday! Since it was not a milestone birthday like last year, this year she decided to do a low-key day which included a big hike in the woods with me and her sister! We hiked in my favorite park and we had such fun!

Yay, we made it all the way to
my favorite stream!

Smells like stinky fish!
Nothing better!

And I made mom laugh on her birthday!
This is a great day!

The day after!

Kiki here! The day after Halloween, I went for walk in the neighborhood
to look for discarded candy, and look what I found! Another friend!

"Why hello kitty cat! Do you have any
leftover candy for a very hungry husky?"

"Even if I had candy, I wouldn't give it to the
likes of you! Hisssss!"

"That's okay, Kitty Cat, I will keep trying to make
friends with you. I'm on a diet anyway, sigh."
