Gotcha Day!

Kiki here with some big news! Nala and I share the same Gotcha day----Labor Day! We know that Labor day weekend is when we both came to be here, Nala all the way back in in 2004 and me in 2011---so long ago. Nala had a rough start, as Mom's home was her 5th home in 2 years. Why all those folks gave her up was a mystery, as she was so sweet! And I was re-homed when I was 10 months old because I was too wild for the family that owned me. We loved each other so much from the first moment
we met! No matter our age, we always have fun.

More friends?

Kiki here! Unfortunately, Nala cannot walk very far anymore so we are being walked separately. It's a little lonely taking walks without my sister, so I try to make up for it by finding new friends to say hello to! So far, it's not working out very well.

Would you like to be buddies?"

"Hissssssssss!
Go away! You are a DOG!"

"Okay, I get the message, Kitty! But I'll be back...
and I will win you over! See, us dogs aren't ALL bad!

"A cold front is coming—yay!
Fall has to be following close behind!"

"Thank goodness---this hot summer is making this
fuzzy husky VERY grumpy!"

A new friend?

"Hello Orange Kitty! What a nice setup you have here,
complete with your own cat house!"

"Would you like to be friends? I'm just coming
a little closer to say hello!"

"Oh no! She giving me a Kitty Death stare! I guess not
every kitty wants to be friends with me!

More snoozing!

Nala here! It is still so very hot and humid here in the city, sigh.
It is making all of us so very tired, even our friend Scary Kitty!

"I know I should go inside to the AC, but I love to
snooze on my pretty blue porch!"

"Your porch looks so comfy and cool Nala! I'm so very
exhausted from living outdoors. Can I join you?"

"Zzzzzzzzzzzzz"
"That Scary Kitty sure can catnap!"

Summertime Snoozing!

It has been either super hot or super rainy here in the city, it is terrible to be a husky right now. When will autumn come? We can't wait! But in the meantime, there's a lot of this going on:

"Kiki, the chilly weather will come, but while we wait,
let's enjoy this cool tile floor and the AC!"

"Nala, we still have to get through August!
Can I sleep until September? I might try!"

Our favorite store!

Kiki here! Everyday, we walk past our favorite store that sells our fancy dog food.

When the store is open, we sometimes stop by to get a drink of water and a treat.
When it is closed, it is guarded by a scary beast!

"I see you Kiki! Don't come any closer!"

"A guard cat! So scary!"

"You're kinda laying down on the job there Guard Kitty!"
