Our garden!

Nala here! Some of our blogging friends have beautiful gardens to show us. We thought we'd join in too! We have a tiny backyard garden here in the city, and our mom did not plant all of it this year to make it easier for me to go out and do my business, old gal that I am. But we have one plant we would like to show off, because it is so showy!

blossom of the summer—there will be many more!"

Play with me!

Hello! Kiki here to tell you that my best friend (other than my sister Nala) Agnes came to stay for a few days and she wouldn't play with me! When we were younger, she and I played and played and played some more. But now that we are, ahem, mature, Agnes is being a stick in the mud!

"C'mon Agnes,
lets have a little playtime! It would be so fun!"

Cooling off!

Hello! Here in the city, we are suffering through our first heat wave of the summer with temps in the high 90s with lots of sticky humidity. Yuck. But a little girl who loves us brought us a present---our own pool! Now we are living in the lap of luxury! If we could just get mom, eh, the pool lady, to do our bidding!

"Ahhhh, cooling off my hot tootsies
in my brand new pool feels great!"

"I don't swim but I like to sun myself on the patio---
now where is the pool lady with my drink and treat?

"I have a house with a pool! But my pool badly
needs maintenance! Where is the pool lady?

Bah, humbug.

"What's that smell Nala?"
"Hmmmm, I think it's..."

...Summertime. Sigh."

This is our least favorite time of the year. Here in the city, it has gotten super hot and humid. We can barely drag ourselves to the park and when we do get there, we just lay around, waiting for winter to return!

The worst day of the year.

Yes, it was bath day this weekend, the sun was out, the hose was hooked up
and we were kind of stinky. It was just terrible.

"How was your bath Kiki? I thought I'd be exempt
this time because I am so old but nooooo, I got a bath!"
"My bath was just terrible too, Nala. Look at my wet fluff!"

"Let's make Mom pay for this! You know what to do Kiki!"
"I'm on it, Nala...the plan is to go roll on mom's bed
with all this wetness!"

Kiki here! You know I like to find kitties on my walks, and I am so good at it,
that I can even find kitties in all the kind of places!

"I see you kitty! Even though you are under glass,
I could still find you!"

"Hisssss! How did she do that? I was hiding so well!
I even had leopard camouflage!"

Nala here! My sister always gets all the attention on our walks because she is so cute and puffy. But the other day, while I had mom to myself, it was time to show everyone how lovely I am! We hope you enjoy my pretty pictures!
