Progress Report

No time to pose for a picture, I have work to do!
Here I am, hard at work on my big hole. We haven't had rain for weeks so the ground was so nice and dry and super-easy to displace! I'll be to Siberia before the snow flies!

Nice!
And here is my hole! Aren't you impressed? I've dug up half the shrub and will be taking out the peony next...it never blooms anyway so who cares! Not this husky!

It's hard work, but someone's gotta do it.
I'm going to take a little break now, time to go rub my dirty nose on the sofa. Is this a great day or what?!

Cats and dogs, living together.

This is how she sleeps. Really.
This is a picture of the ridiculous kitty that lives with us. She used to be a wild alley cat but she moved in one cold winter night when mom opened the door to let Nala out, and she never left. She is VERY happy to be an indoor cat but she is not happy when we chase her. So, she spends most of her day in a very expensive basket on top of the kitchen cabinets. But at night, she sleeps in the same room as us, often on the same bed. She knows we are only playing when we chase her, we would never hurt our furry friend. We let her live with us, right? Just don't touch our cookies. Grrrrr.

Our blue period.

This summer will never end. Sigh.
WE are SO depressed that after a delightful few days of cool breezes and long walks that it is getting all hot and humid AGAIN. What are we to do in the heat with all this fluffiness? The only upside is that our mom is gonna crank the A.C. Guess we'd better go inside and claim our vents.

A tired husky is a tired husky.

Nap time with my favorite squeaky.
Soooooo tired after our long day of dog park, hiking and swimming. Only a long snooze with my binky will make this day even better, zzzzzzzzzzz.

On the road again!

This is WAY more comfy than the shelter!
This is a picture of lucky Bella, who was pulled from a shelter and transported by my mom to her new foster family. When she was in the car, she was sneezing a lot, perhaps she is allergic to husky fur? Hahaha! Anyway, our house is too full of huskies for us to foster but we are happy to transport when we can! Enjoy your new life Bella!

Halfway to Siberia

Siberia is colder than Baltimore, right?

Hello, Kiki here! I'm hard at work on my latest project, a very, very large and deep hole that I am digging in the garden behind the doghouse. Shhhhhh, it's my latest escape plan! My last escape plan, backing out of my martingale collar and taking off, ended in failure as I was caught by humans when I got distracted from my goal and stopped to play with my best dog friend Aggie. Now, I'm back on a choke collar and my only hope of escaping is my very deep hole to Siberia in the back yard. I'm super-motivated, because I know there are more treats out there than the meager amount I get in here!

An oldie but a goodie.

No matter your age, enjoy your day!

This is our friend who has been staying with us the last few days. He is our neighbor's dog but his owners had to go away for a few days and if anyone knows how to take care of an old husky, it's our mom. He is 14 years old, which is about a million in human years or so it seems. He is very sweet but he gets distracted and paces back and forth all day and all night until he gets really tired and goes to sleep. We like him, but we need our beauty sleep too as we are very tired from waking up for his 2AM pacing sessions. But he is so sweet and loves his walks, the kitty and us, so it's okay. We try to remember that we will be old one day too.
